WESTBAM/ML FEAT. INGA HUMPE "Wasteland (AndHim Remix)"
Seen as a leader of Germany's house and techno scene since his beginning early in the 1980s, WESTBAM/ML's influence upon the dance world is not to be underestimated, having been a founder of the Mayday Festival and the Love Parade, the latter of which routinely drew hundreds of thousands of clubgoers into the streets of Berlin on an annual basis. in addition, his numerous releases under his own name as well as several pseudonyms, notably with producer Klaus Jankuhn, as Members of Mayday, which supplied the Mayday Festival with its anthem every year.
Here his recent single "Wasteland", with INGA HUMPE and taken from 2021 LP 'Famous Last Songs, Vol. 1' is put through the remix mill by fellow countrymen AndHim. The beloved duo, consisting of Simon Haehnel & Tobias Müller, flip the punchy original into a spacious club rub, blending layers of boundless soundscapes, mind-melting synth melodies and elevating percussive rolls around Humpe's hypnotic vocal elements for a transcendental rework.
