After making a name for himself with his remix of Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’, JAMES HYPEs reputation quickly grew with over 4 million plays at Spotify of his remixes for Kristine Blond (‘Love Shy’) and Sage The Gemini (‘Now And Later’). Now the rising producer/DJ has shared a VIP mix of his new track "More Than Friends" which features KELLI-LEIGH and is out now on One More Tune.
A heady cocktail of future bass and melodic house, "More Than Friends" is also influenced by 90s R&B as newcomer KELLI-LEIGHs topline is a reworking of the En Vogue classic "Don’t Let Go", which peaked at #5 back in 1997.
Emerging from Liverpool, JAMES HYPE started his career as a regular fixture across clubs through the north of England. As word of his talent spread, he was invited to provide guest mixes for MistaJam at Radio 1Xtra and Kiss FM amongst many others. Most recently, his remix of ‘Love Shy’ featured on house icon MK’s ‘Summer Selects’ playlist for Mixmag.
Compared to the great DJ EZ, JAMES HYPEs DJ sets demonstrate dazzling technical ability, two of the swiftest hands in the business and an innate instinct for improvisation that sets him apart from the pack. Previously seen at events including Creamfields, Tinie Tempah’s Disturbing Ibiza and MistaJam’s JamPacked.
